Virginia E. Brown, Esq. (Va.)Of Counsel Ms. Brown provides comprehensive legal counsel in the areas of wills, trusts, and estates; financial planning and elder law. She is a Certified Financial Planner. Prior to joining DCBA in 2006, Ms. Brown advised clients on complex estate planning and administration matters while managing a Yorktown, Virginia, law office. She previously clerked for Judge Aida Waserstein and Judge Barbara D. Crowell in the Delaware Family Court in Wilmington. Ms. Brown began her career as a second grade teacher, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Special Education from James Madison University. She is a graduate of George Mason University School of Law, where she served two terms as president of the Woman’s Law Association and received the Ann Southard Murphy and Cornelius F. Murphy Award for scholastic excellence and community service. Ms. Brown is also the managing attorney for Virginia E. Brown, P.C., located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She served for three years as president of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association. |
